Butterfinger Cake
Very easy to make and very good.
2 regular butterfingers or 1 "giant" sized
1 devils food cake mix , prepared per box instructions
1 bottle caramel Ice Cream topping
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 large tub Cool Whip
Bake the cake per instructions on box
while cake is still hot, mix all of the sweetened condensed milk and caramel topping together.
Poke holes all over the cake with a fork and pour mixture over it, spread it completely over the cake
crumble 3/4th's butterfinger on top. stick in refrigerator and wait till completely cool
Spread cool whip and top and crumble remaining butterfinger on top.
Go into a sugar coma... enjoy!

Any suggestions for cutting the sweetness? A dill pickle on the side?

A few years ago, my daughter was in some home ec type class (they call it something different now days but it's still home ec) anywho, she came home with a recipe for making whipped cream. I had never really thought of making it before and just always used Cool Whip. But it is so easy and SOOOO much tastier that I switched and am never going back!
I am going to make that cake next time I have go to a family gathering.

She's just a child, of course the EC class is going to give a recipe for whipped cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're a cook, like I am, but most people aren't!

You still have to watch Whipped Cream to make sure you don't make butter by mistake. When I was a baker.. I did it by starting another recipe and I let it go just a bit too long. My then boss said, "This is the most expensive butter we've ever had"
Good thing is, it can still be used.
I wonder how it would taste if you used a teaspoon or so of rum in the whipped topping or the caramel/milk mix?
