Cinnamon Rolls

Post by tattulip » Sun Mar 11, 2007 7:41 am

Here is a really tasty and easy cinnamon roll recipe:

Mix together:

3/4 c. vanilla ice cream
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar

Boil 1 minute to dissolve sugars.
Place frozen cinnamon rolls (I use Rhodes) in a greased 9x13 pan. Cover with hot syrup. Cover with and let set out overnight.
Bake at 350 degrees.
Cover with tin foil the first 15 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.

That sounds really good. I'm really sick and tired of seeing what looks like "GOOD CINNAMON BUNS" in my local supermarkets, only to find that the glaze is not even one millimeter thick and the buns are dry and crumbly. Good Cinnamon Buns are a rare treat. The best ones I've had were either home made, or from a bakery that specialized in cinnamon buns.

Running late in the morning, scarf it down, you won't taste it anyway after pouring hot coffee down your gullet.
