Feliz el Cinco De Mayo

Post by falvegas » Fri May 05, 2017 8:43 pm

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO

Ya, the USA was involved down there...with the American Civil War over, the U.S. began to provide political and military assistance to Mexico to expel the French.

What are the Falvegas's doin on Cinco De Mayo? Makin Steak Fajitas for the Kids, and Chili Roja, Salsa Fresca, Salsa Pepitas, Guacamole and pitchers of Strawberry Margaritas....for the kids, Mango Punch.

If yer not in the West or Southwest, likely the celebration means little to you.

I had my hair done on Cinco De Mayo. My hairdresser is Hispanic. She asked me what I was going to do to celebrate. I said, "nothing really" I asked her what she was going to do. She says, "Mexicans don't really celebrate it" So, it's a Mexican celebration that only Americans celebrate! Odd!

I think the bars here in America push it more than anyone else.
