Chicken wings

Post by ConsrvYank1 » Sun Mar 06, 2016 8:21 am

These are the best chicken wings I ever had. Very flavorful, easy recipe from Allrecipes.com. I made only minor changes. I omitted the salt, and I used unsalted butter, because the cheese and the flavored bread crumbs have more than enough salt. The outside was just as crispy as if they had been deep fried. I will be making these again real soon.

I forgot to spray the foil with vegetable spray. The wings did stick slightly, but not enough to worry about.

Sounds like Shake 'n Bake. Do they still make that stuff? I really like it as a kid! :dinner:

It doesn't taste anything like "Shake and Bake." I never liked that stuff, plus the chicken never came out crispy.

Dave, I don't see why you couldn't add hot sauce to the recipe, I personally don't like it.

These sound pretty good. You could add any spices you wanted to the breading.

See, you are needed in the recipe forum. After all the drama and anger in Main, this is a good place to be. :)

If my posts come across as angry, please send me a PM letting me know...better yet..Fedex me some wings for pacification purposes!

I love it when the wings are a bit crispy on the outside, and moist inside...when they are done right, I risk gluttony on a grand scale...I used to haul 23,000 lbs of Franks Wing sauce every Friday night...the boss told me that if I ever sideswiped a Tyson truck and it caught on fire, he would be a first responder.
