The Covert Conservatives Cookbook Project

Post by StarryNightDave » Sun Nov 24, 2013 1:24 pm

Do you think this would interest people? We could gather up recipes, create chapters by recipe type, and even add little Perls of conservative wisdom. Then we could self-publish the book and let the proceeds help to pay for this site. And leftover money could go to a charity of our choice.

I think it might be good to have the site owned by a group, just so it would continue if anything were to happen to me. Nothing is wrong! I'm not sick or anything. I just think it might be good to think about it.

Maybe turn this into a nonprofit?

What do you guys think?

I think we have some very food savvy people on this site so, if it were going to work anywhere it should work here. :)

It's alotta work, so you need to have someone willing to give that much time to the project.

Not a bad idea tho.

A cookbook, or a nonprofit?

95% of mine started out that way too but I make so many changes that they become originals over time.

I bet yours are that way too. :)

I know that PTAs and Church Groups make and sell recipe books all the time. Yes, we would have to watch copy-writes. I just figured with all the recipes we have in here, we already have a great start.

We could first decide on divider headings and then create threads with these divider headings and then we could all place our favorite recipes that come under these headings in those threads and see what we have?

For example:

Appetizers
Beverages
Soups, Stews, & Chili
Salads
Vegetables / Side Dishes
Entrees
Desserts

Or
Appetizers
Breakfast & Brunch
The Mid-Day Meal
Dinner and Accompaniments
Desserts

I don't know :lolh: I am not sure I am the most creative person running around!

Either of those groupings would work. Of course, we could have an entire chapter titled, "Pixie!"

And another one titled, "Falvegas". :)

And then we'd have to have a what NOT to do section, titled, "Ialu - yeah, she a no good when it comes to cooking." :shakehead:
Tell you what. How about you write a chapter called Heating Things Up.?
