Cheese Pecan Pie

I'm about to make two of these tonight. My Grandmother got this from a magazine back in the 1970s. Not sure which one, but this has become a family favorite of ours. My sister usually makes it, but we are not having Thanksgiving with them this year. She usually makes it with a bought pie crust and it comes out fantastic. But I like to make my own crust. :)

1. Set aside 1/4 cup chopped pecans - enough to make a layer, so you can add more if you like. (I know I will!!!)

2. Cream together . . .
.....8 oz cream cheese
.....1/3 cup sugar
.....1/4 tea spoon salt
.....1 tea spoon vanilla

3. Add 1 egg to the cheese mixture and beat until smooth.

4. Mix together with a fork . . .
.....1 cup dark brown sugar
.....1 cup corn syrup (with extra high fructose!!!!!) :jk:
.....4 eggs

5. Make the pie - first pour the cheese mixture into the crust. Then the chopped pecans. And then the corn syrup mixture.

6. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes until the center is set.
