Just made the BEST pasta salad - ever

Post by StarryNightDave » Mon Sep 05, 2011 1:30 pm

BLT PASTA SALAD!

This is a real keeper. BACON! and all the other stuff too.

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/blt- ... index.html

Not too hard to make either. I used 2 bags of the triple washed butter lettuce from the super market and a whole box of cavapati pasta instead of just 12 oz. The flavor is wonderful. I didn't have chives, but it tastes great without them.

Of course, mine looks nothing like this photo. The photo makes it look delicate, almost wimpy. Its actually very substantial - a "Man's Salad!"

I'm gonna have a cucumber salad. I forgot about it but this thread reminded me.

Hey, I'm making this today. So glad I posted the recipe here, I couldn't find the printout I made.

These threads are the most fantastic repository for a recipe file.

So often if you start a recipe file online at sites such as Williams-Sonoma or Food Network the links are broken as they only save the recipes for so long. That never happens here.

I am not a fan of pasta salad, never had one I liked. Yet I love macaroni salad. Go figure.
