1 tsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Thyme
1/2 tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Allspice
4 pork chops, 1 inch thick (approx 1.5 lbs)
1 tbsp flour
2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 apples, thinly sliced (I used Fujis)
1/2 cup apple juice
1 tbsp brown sugar
Mix flour, spices, and salt in a small bowl. Rub mixture into both sides of chops and brown in large skillet with olive oil.
Remove chops from skillet and fry onions for 3 minutes. Then add sliced apples and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Stir in apple juice, remaining seasoned flour, and brown sugar and bring to a boil.
Lay pork chops on top, cover, and simmer on low for about 20-25 minutes (or until done), flipping chops halfway through.
I served this last night with au gratin potatoes and dinner rolls. They were really good!
