Besides it is really hard to find a toothpick of that size.....iamlookingup wrote:Fatherducque wrote:May I suggest you get a recipe for multiple meat balls?
A meatball big enough to feed a party usually doesn't cook evenly.Everybody's a comedian.

iamlookingup wrote:I know how to make meatballs to go with spaghetti and such, but I thought that for a party, it might require something sweeter.tattulip wrote:Question: Why is an Italian lady asking for a meatball recipe?
Aren't they called Swedish Meatballs?

True...they use nasty goat's milk cheese, fish chunks and honey to camouflage the flavor.iamlookingup wrote:streetsoldier wrote:I never thought I'd LIVE to see the day that an Italian doesn't know how to make meat-a-balls.![]()

For SHAME, IALU!![]()
An Italian meatball is gonna have parmesan and oregano and garlic in it. Somehow I doubt those are the ingredients in a swedish meatball.

(If you don't wanna post it 'cause it's a secret recipe, I understand.)
Just add the water in small increments until the meat doesn't leave that film on your hands. You will do fine. Let me know how they come out.iamlookingup wrote:abbi wrote:85% Lean Ground Beefiamlookingup wrote:Please!abbi wrote:What kind of meatballs do you want to make? 1 Egg per pound of beef
Italian Bread Crumbs soaked in a little water (about 1/2 cup per pound of beef)
Garlic Powder, Dried Basil, Oregano, Italian Seasoning, Thyme, Salt & Pepper
Fresh Grated Parmesan Reggiano Cheese (about 1/2 cup per pound of beef)
Enough water to make the mixture moist but not too wet. When you roll the meatballs you shouldn't have that filmy feeling on your hands.
You can bake them or fry them. I bake mine. I hope you like themSounds great! I bake mine, too. Frying seems like it would be too messy and time consuming, and would add oil to something that's already oily.
I hope I don't add too much water.
