Need Recipe for Beans
I have pinto, canned black and canned red kidney beans. I have never really cooked with beans before. Any ideas - besides bean dip.

I have one for baked beans.
Open can of Bushes Homestyle Baked Beans.
Pour into large pot.
Add barbeque sauce to taste.
Heat on stove until warm, stirring occasionally to prevent beans from sticking to pot.
Serve warm.
Enjoy!

3 different Beans, all Canned?
Here’s a few ideas. Best to tell us your preferences and we'll get lots of recipes.
* Off the top you can make a 3 Bean Salad especially if they're all canned.
* New England Baked Beans or Cowboy Beans with Chilies
* Make a Three Bean Chili or with Black Beans, Black Bean Chili with Pork
* Black Bean Soup with Sausage Or Black Bean Soup Southwestern style
* Italian Sausage & Bean Stew, Ham and Bean Soup, Senate Bean Soup,
* Pasta e Fagioli (an Italian thick soup with Beans, Veggies, and Pasta)
* Lamb with Sausage & Beans
* Mixed Bean Cassoulet, adding preference of Sausage, Lamb, Duck...whatever.
Here’s 5 recipes that are quite different, some quick and simple.
Shortcut Baked beans
Pasta with Three Beans and Bacon
Hearty Mixed Bean Stew with Sausage
Black Bean Chili
Three Bean Salad
Pasta with Three Beans and Bacon
Ingredients
6 bacon slices, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 cup dry red wine
3 15- to 16-ounce cans of beans (preferably a variety, such as Kidney, Black and small white or other), drained
2 14 1/2-ounce cans of diced tomatoes in juice
12 ounces penne pasta, freshly cooked
2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Sauté chopped bacon in heavy large pot over medium-high heat until fat is rendered, about 5 minutes. Add onions, mushrooms, garlic and oregano and sauté until onions are soft, about 8 minutes. Add wine and bring to boil. Add beans and tomatoes with juices. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer until liquid thickens and flavors blend, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes.
Mix in pasta and 3/4 cup cheese and simmer 2 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Transfer to large bowl, serve passing remaining cheese.

5-1-TBS cooked Bacon Pieces
6-2-Tsp minced Onion, dried

Add all ingredients to a medium saucepan. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until
desired consistency.
Black Bean Chili
Ingredients
2-LB Pork Loin, cut in cubes
3-TBS Vegetable Oil
4- Garlic Cloves, minced
2-Chili de Arbol, toasted, stemmed, seeded
1-Can Diced Green Chilies, or 3 Roasted Anaheim Chilies diced
1-TBS Cumin
1-Tsp Oregano
1-TBS Salt
1-Cup Red Onion, chopped
2-Cups Chicken Stock
6-Cups Black Beans, canned or 1-Lb Dry, soaked overnight, and cooked 1-1/2 hours or until al dente
1-Jalapeno Chilies, cored, seeded, minced
1-Can crushed Tomatoes (28 Oz) Including Juice
1-Red Bell Pepper, cored, seeded, diced
1-TBS Lime Juice, fresh
Directions
• Salt and Pepper the Pork, and Seer on High in a 5 quart pan with the Oil until brown (1 to 2 minutes)
• Add the Garlic, Chili Arbol, Green Chili, Cumin, Oregano, Salt, Red Onion and cook for 1/2-hour on simmer.
• Add Chicken Stock and Black Beans. Add water as needed to cover the Beans.
• Simmer ½ to 1 hour or until the Pork is just tender.
•A dd the Jalapeno, Tomatoes & Juice, Bell Pepper, and Lime Juice. Simmer until the Chili is cooked through and slightly thickened.
Hearty Mixed Bean Stew with Sausage
Ingredients
3/4 pound sweet Italian pork sausage, casing removed
10 cups Chicken Broth
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 medium carrots, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
4 ounces canned pinto beans (or dry, soaked and cooked through)
4 ounces canned navy beans (can use Pinto) (or dry, soaked and cooked through)
4 ounces canned kidney beans (or dry, soaked and cooked through)
6 sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained and thinly sliced
Grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
* Cook the sausage in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until it's well browned, stirring frequently to separate meat. Pour off fat.
* Add the Sausage, Broth, Black Pepper, Carrots, Celery and Beans to a 5-quart Pan. Cover and cook on LOW for ½ to 1 hour or until veggies are tender.
* Stir in the tomatoes and Canned Beans. Cover and cook 20 to 30 minutes until the beans are heated through and tender. Sprinkle with the cheese.
Note: Can do in a slow cooker

1-16 Oz can Black Beans, drained and rinsed
1-8 Oz can Green or Lima Beans, drained and rinsed
1-16 Oz can Red Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed
1/2-Cup Bell Pepper, green, chopped

* In a bowl, combine all the Beans, Bell Pepper, and Onion.
* Dressing: In a jar with screw top, combine the Vinegar, Sugar, Oil, Celery Seed, Dry Mustard and Garlic. Shake well.
* Pour Dressing over beans and Veggies in bowl, and stir gently. Cover and refrigerate 4 to 24 hours. (stir often)
