It is likely the cooking in the smoker that caused the good result. When I cook the turkey in my smoker, it goes before any of the other turkeys at "the gathering of the clan".

This year the clan has requested slow-cooked pork shoulder. Maybe so their turkey will get some attention!

I have eaten crab in Iowa and at places near the ocean. The ones in Iowa are hard to crack and get the meat out (they are "soggy") I assumed it was because they were not as fresh? Depending on the size of the crab and the skill level of the diner, get 4-6 crabs per person. If you are unskilled at "picking crabs" you may be frustrated or tired after four or so. The crab meat inside the crab is in a number (about 16) of "compartments" and you must pick the meat out of each one....

We have found that ground turkey makes a better chili than ground beef or beef/pork mix.
