I like my apple cider spiced with booze. I'm not sure what type of booze, but the Germans can tell you.

Oh, thank you! I will! I've never tried sweetened condensed milk in my coffee either! I'll try that too! I'm not a big coffee drinker unless it's a fancy, sweet coffee, so that should work well for me! In the places I went in SE Asia, if you asked for "coffee milk", they put a heaping s...

I don't know how to cook leg of lamb so I put a meat thermometer in it and stuck it in the oven at 325.

Re: buffalo burgers

I have office hours tomorrow and Tuesday, so I will have to eat at (or near) work. But on Wednesday, I will buy a pound of buffalo and give it a try. I had a buffalo burger in a restaurant once and it was good.

Price Chopper sells ground buffalo, and I was thinking that maybe I would like to make some buffalo burgers. Does anyone have any thoughts about how I should cook it?

Have you ever made your own butter? I was reading a blog awhile back where she made it and says it is SO much better. I think I am going to try it. I guess you just put cream in a food processor and let it go. She said you here this "thump" and all at once it is butter. Then you drain the buttermil...

I went to my grandmother's farm and had roast beef for dinner. My dinner won a ribbon for best steer last summer. Much better than the dairy cows she used to feed me when I was a teenybopper.

Malt the barley. Combine it with water, hops, yeast. Allow to sit in a dark place for three weeks. Add a small amount of sugar and bottle. Allow to sit for a few more weeks.

is this too much food?

I kept track of what I ate today. I had two cups of coffee, six oz of orange juice, a slice of pizza with pepperoni and sausage, and a one pound porterhouse steak (maybe 6 oz of that was bone and fat which I didn't eat). Is this going to make me fat? How many calories is it anyway?
