Aren't Jonathon apples sweeter then Granny Smith? That's what I usually use when I bake pies and crisps.

Re: 6 Week Bran Muffins

No no no.... don't pay attention to that. I had a computer program that I entered my recipes into. It figured those calories. I probably didn't put in the servings so it figured 1 serving. I don't know how many muffins it makes. Probably 24 of the big ones? Just because I only showed 6 muffins doesn...

I should add that that time is for the small muffin cups and not the large ones as shown in the picture. (I learned that the hard way this morning!)

6 Week Bran Muffins

I just baked these:

Image

They are easy to make, you can keep the batter in the frig and bake as many as you want at a time. They are delicious! The guys at work request them.

Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

Take a table / soup spoon, coat the inside with a thick layer of peanut butter and then dip into a bag of chocolate chips.

I just made this recipe up myself!

Re: More Crockpot Recipes

I make beef and noodles in the crockpot sometimes. I haven't done it for awhile but it's something like this: cook stew meat and a sliced onion in crock pot for several hours until meat is done add a pkg of frozen noodles add beef broth cook another hour or so until noodles are done. It's tasty and ...

Re: Sweet Corn

I don't think that's enough time to cook the corn. We usually cook it for about 20 minutes. Just made some last night, in fact, and it came out great that way. That is interesting what you said about the salt. And, I've never had it with lemon. We always put some sugar in the water. I wonder if add...

Sweet Corn

It's sweet corn season here in Iowa. :dinner: This is how you MUST prepare sweet corn IMO. For every gallon of water, add 1 T. of lemon juice and 1 T. of sugar. Cover ears with water and bring to a boil. Do not add salt to the water (salt toughens corn) Boil uncovered 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Le...

Okay, I made these tonight and I don't think they are great. First, I couldn't find espresso powder in the grocery store so I just used a shot of espresso. I think I should have used have a shot. Second, when they say "11 ounces dark chocolate" do they mean Baker's Unsweetened chocolate squares?
