Unsalted Butter

What is the sense in using unsalted butter in a recipe and then adding salt? :headscratch: Why not just use salted butter? :dunno:

Re: I need an EZ recipe for Peach Cobbler

I am going to make this for my church potluck tomorrow! I love peach cobbler but have always made it with fresh peaches. Where are they? They both used to post like 100 recipes a day. It's like they disappeared off the face of the earth. :headscratch: Pixie was/is a Ron Paul supporter (I think) and started her own forum. falvegas was here recently http://www.covertconservatives.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=45399

It was last Sunday. You have to bring a main dish and a side dish. I brought ham balls and a fruit salad. There was only one pan of cheesy potatoes.

Easter Favorites?

My church has a themed potluck once a month. This month is Easter Favorites. I feel like everyone will be bringing ham and cheesy potatoes!

What are YOUR Easter favorites? I will make that instead.

My New Favorite Cookie

Cranberry Hootycreek Cookies "These cookies are pretty easy to fix, and they are highly addictive. They started out as a gift jar recipe that I've adapted to skip the jar part. They have dried cranberries, white chocolate, nuts...what's not to like!" Ingredients 2 ¼ cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda...

Hey Trailboss! Since you do slow cooking too, I have to share this. I got one of these for Christmas, and it has made a huge difference in the quality of my pork. Now I only disturb the smoker at four hour intervals, to check the water. http://www.maverickhousewares.com/et73.htm http://www.maverick...

What's In Your Frig?

This is kind of a cool website. Stumped as to what to cook? You create an account and check all the ingredients that you have on hand and then search. It will give you recipes for the ingredients you have. You can do either a general or detailed list. http://www.myfridgefood.com/index.php?kitchen=qu...
