I used to make those. Actually, my daughter made some a month or so ago and brought them over.

I was out of cinnamon the other but had cinnamon sticks. I used my grinder to make cinnamon. It never got that fine BUT it made the inside of my grinder all pitted and stained.

Re: Miracle Whip
We always use Miracle Whip in place of mayonnaise. :faint: :noose: I hate Miracle Whip! I've been making this macaroni salad since 1971 or 2 when I got the recipe from a friend. Everyone loves it! 4 cups cooked elbow macaroni 1/2 cup green onions, chopped 1/3 cup green peppers, chopped 1/2 cup shre...

Re: Feliz el Cinco De Mayo
I had my hair done on Cinco De Mayo. My hairdresser is Hispanic. She asked me what I was going to do to celebrate. I said, "nothing really" I asked her what she was going to do. She says, "Mexicans don't really celebrate it" So, it's a Mexican celebration that only Americans celebrate! Odd!

Re: No Carb Bread
I'm on a low carb diet and have been making these for my "bread" Coconut Flour Flatbread In a bowl, I mixed the following together: 1 large egg 1 Tbsp coconut flour 1 Tbsp parmesan cheese (optional) 1/8 tsp baking soda 1/8 tsp baking powder 2 pinches of sea salt or any herbs you want!* 2 Tbsp any ki...

Re: Cajun Caviar
Yes, it is good. Get the Tabasco brand pepper jelly. If you are feeling lazy, plop a small block of warmed cream cheese on a plate, cover lavishly with red or green pepper jelly, and you have a excellent spread for ANY cracker. I often prefer saltines, because they don't interfere with the taste of...

I had lime cilantro vinaigrette the other day at a restaurant and loved it! I made it for myself last night and it was SOUR! Good with Latin dishes or Southwest. Can also make a Pesto with Cilantro ...most savory greens. With a lot of Acid [citrus & Vinegar] it's usually good to balance the c...

TT, I have never seen a chili recipe using potato flakes to thicken it so, I can be of no help.

Re: Spicy Chili Recipe / Chili Recipe
I have a friend who makes my favorite chili....he thickens it with dried potato flakes.....which taste terrible IMO if you make mashed potatoes with them but you can't taste them in the chili. It makes a nice chili gravy. I guess his dad got the recipe from some small restaurant many many years ago....

I'd loved to get that oven - it's still in my Amazon Wish List but I don't know where I'd set it. I hate to clutter up my countertop (even more).
I've made this recipe (or something very similar) before only I used club crackers instead of graham crackers. I don't like graham crackers.

Very good suggestions. I'll get some tubs of mashed potatoes. (I really like those!) Have you used any good stuffing mixes? I've only seen Stove Top Stuffing. Is there anything better you can actually stuff inside a bird? I don't know if you can actually use Stove Top for stuffing the bird. I guess...

How about a package of gravy mix?

"They" are saying now that the problems with the high-fat diets being bad for our hearts was based on faulty data and not true. (Think global warming). Cutting back on butter, cream and fatty meats may have done more harm to heart health than good. Experts say the belief that high-fat diets are bad ...
